This Privacy Policy describes the data that we process to support Your Novella apps, websites, and related services offered by Your Novella ("Your Novella"). You can find additional tools and data in the Your Novella settings. It explains our practices concerning the personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, in connection with Your Novella. If you do not agree with this policy, you should not use Your Novella.

1. Data Collection
The type of data that we collect and process depends on how you use Your Novella. For instance, the data we collect from a reader is not the same as data we collect from an author who publishes on Your Novella. Even if you don't have an account, if you use Your Novella, we may collect some data about you.
The data we collect and process includes:
I. Your operations and data you provide
On Your Novella, you can read or publish novels, make comments, and purchase coins for charged chapters, and more. We collect actions you take on Your Novella and the data you provide, such as:
- Content you create (e.g., novels, comments).
- Metadata about the content (e.g., upload location, document creation date), in accordance with relevant legislation.
- The type of content that you read or comment on.
- The applications and features you use, and your actions while using them.
- Purchases or other transactions you perform, including payment card data.
- The time, frequency, and duration of your activity.
Data under special protection. You can choose to provide data about your age, gender, address, and email address. These and other types of data may be specially protected under the laws of your jurisdiction.
II. Application, browser, and device data
We collect and receive data about the devices you use and how you use them, including:
- The device and software you use and other device characteristics.
- Data that links your device to the internet, including your IP address.
- Data collected by cookies (see Section 2) and similar technologies.
III. Data from business partners, suppliers, and third parties
We may receive data about actions you take on or off Your Novella from partners, suppliers, and third parties. For example:
- Device data, app usage data, and ads you view.
- Partners may share other data such as your email or third-party account information.
2. Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of text stored on browsers. We use cookies and similar technologies to store and receive identifiers and other data on computers, phones, and other devices.
We use cookies if you have a Your Novella account, use Your Novella (including our website and apps), or visit other websites and apps that use Your Novella. Cookies enable Your Novella to function and help us understand data we receive about you, including your use of other websites and apps, whether you are registered or logged in.
We use cookies to:
- Verify login data.
- Track traffic flow and usage patterns.
- Understand visitor counts and device types.
- Monitor and improve performance.
- Customize and enhance your experience.
- Provide customer service.
You can control cookies through your browser or device settings. Refusing cookies may limit some functionality. Cookie controls are distinct from settings Your Novella provides.
3. Ways and purposes of data processing
We process data to:
- Create and maintain your account and profile.
- Present and promote content.
- Enable comments and interactions.
- Provide access to commercial novels.
- Analyze usage and improve services.
- Test new features.
- Identify and resolve issues.
For safety, integrity, and compliance, we may also process data (including via automated means and, in some cases, manual review) to:
- Verify accounts and actions.
- Investigate suspicious activity and anti-piracy.
- Detect, prevent, and combat harmful or illegal activities.
- Monitor and prevent spam and other security issues.
We may process specially protected data (e.g., age, gender, address, email) that you provide to share it with others at your direction to better serve you.
Because Your Novella operates globally, we may transfer, store, or process your data across borders, including in the United States and other countries, for maintenance, analysis, and improvement purposes.
We may share your contact details with a third party when necessary to perform a requested action (e.g., to pay proceeds via a payment provider).
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with:
- Trusted third-party partners who help us operate and improve Your Novella and provide services globally.
- Members, subsidiaries, or affiliates of our corporate group to improve and optimize Your Novella.
- Law enforcement, public or tax authorities, or other organizations when legally required.
- Payment providers (e.g., PayPal or app store processors) to complete transactions.
We do not share personally identifiable data with third-party ad servers or ad networks without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature that you can opt in or out of.
5. Data security
We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to help protect personal data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, transmission over the internet is not completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and never share it.
6. Data management, deletion, and your rights
We provide tools to view, manage, download, and delete your personal data. You can manage data via the Personal Center or in-app settings ("Profile" → "Support"), or by emailing [email protected].

Delete personal data or your account:
- Use provided tools (e.g., delete comments, remove books from shelf).
- To permanently delete your account, contact [email protected].
Once your account is removed, we will stop providing services to you and delete your personal data unless otherwise required by law. You will not be able to retrieve reading, spending, or unlocking records, including any top-up balances.
Deletion timelines. Deleting specific items may be immediate; account deletion will be completed within 15 days from receipt of your request. We may request identity verification and will respond within 15 working days.
7. Age restrictions
Your Novella is not developed for children. The Platform is not directed at children under 12 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). If you believe we have collected data from a child under the relevant age, please contact [email protected].
Users between 12 and 18 ("Teens") may not access or use the Service unless (i) both the Teen and their parent or legal guardian have first agreed to these Terms; and (ii) the Teen uses an account established by their parent or legal guardian, under such parent or guardian's supervision and permission. If you permit a Teen to use the Services, you agree to these Terms on behalf of both yourself and the Teen and accept responsibility for all such use.
8. Data retention
We retain your data as long as necessary to provide services or fulfill transactions you request or authorize, and as needed for legal obligations, enforcement, dispute resolution, or legal claims. After account deletion, certain data may be retained in aggregated or anonymized form.
9. Changes to this policy
We will notify you before making material changes and give you the opportunity to review the revised policy before continuing to use our products.
